Jason Wingreen, the voice of Boba Fett, dead

Character actor Jason Wingreen, who provided the voice of Star Wars bounty hunter Boba Fett in The Empire Strikes Back, has died, aged 95.
Wingreen passed away at his home in Los Angeles. He also appeared in The Twlight Zone and Seinfeld, and played Harry the bartender in beloved U.S. TV comedies All in the Family and Archie Bunker’s Place.
Other film and TV credits include The Untouchables, Airplane, Matlock, The Treminal Man, Marlowe, The Fugitive, and Ironside.
He is also one of the few stars to appear in both Star Wars and Star Trek – he played Dr. Linke on a 1968 Star Trek episode.
Wingreen auditioned to play Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back, but when Frank Oz landed that role, he was offered the chance to give Boba Fett, the bounty hunter who captures Han Solo, a voice.
He retired as an actor in the 1990s.
