Jay Chou signs on for Vin Diesel’s next xXx movie

Taiwanese movie star and singer Jay Chou has signed on to join Vin Diesel and the cast of the upcoming xXx 4 movie.
The 39 year old, who previously appeared in films like The Green Hornet, Now You See Me 2, and Kung Fu Panda 3, reveals he can’t wait to get started on director D.J. Caruso’s new action film.
“I’ve met D.J. a number of times over the past few months and it’s very clear how talented he is as a director,” Jay, who also serves as a mentor on competition show The Voice in China, says.
“I am looking forward to working with him and Vin in bringing this film to global audiences. This is an incredibly exciting film.”
The next xXx film follows Vin’s return to the action movie franchise in last year’s (17) xXx: The Return of Xander Cage. He sat out the first sequel, 2005’s xXx: State of the Union, which starred rapper and actor Ice Cube as Darius Stone.
The new film will also feature newlywed Deepika Padukone, hot off her Italian wedding to fellow Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh. The couple tied the knot last week (14Nov18) in Lake Como, Italy, at the same villa where John Legend and Chrissy Teigen exchanged vows.
