The Favourite and Mary Queen Of Scots star Joe Alwyn audtitioned to play the stepson of Liam Neeson’s character in Love Actually.
The Brit, who is Taylor Swift’s current squeeze, reveals he almost landed the role but ultimately lost out to Thomas Brodie-Sangster.
“It meant that I got time off of school to go to this audition, so I went to it,” Joe said during an appearance on Live With Kelly & Ryan, “and they had me back for another one and another one.
“There was a whole series of workshops. I didn’t get in, obviously, but I do remember meeting Hugh Grant and (writer-director) Richard Curtis and sitting down and reading some scenes.”
