Rocker Julian Casablancas has scrapped his upcoming tour with backing band The Voidz in Asia and Australia due to logistical issues. The Strokes frontman was set to embark on the Asian and Australian leg of his solo tour, under the name Julian Casablancas + the Voidz, on 30 December (14), but he has scrapped all 11 dates, which included four appearances at music festivals.
A statement from the band reads, “Unfortunately, due to unforeseen logistical circumstances, we must cancel our planned trip to Australia and Asia… The band is hoping to announce new dates sometime in the New Year and are disappointed that it can’t be right now and are very sorry for all and any inconvenience.”
