M83 seeking replacement singer for Morgan Kibby

French electronic stars M83 have issued an open call for a female singer and keyboardist after parting ways with former member Morgan Kibby.
Frontman Anthony Gonzalez revealed the news to fans in a post on the group’s website on Wednesday (03Feb16), when he outlined the stipulations for interested applicants – the same method he previously used to recruit current multi-instrumentalist Jordan Lawlor.
“Back in 2011 I opened up the search for a musician to join the M83 tour,” Anthony writes. “That turned out to be Jordan Lawlor who played with us all over the world and is still in the band! This time I am looking for a female singer who can also play keyboard to join us. Take a look at the requirements below, if you think you fit the role enter your details and send us a video of you singing and a video of you playing keys below.”
Those interested must have a valid passport, no criminal history, be available to attend rehearsals in Los Angeles in March (16), and travel from April until December (16).
The band kicks off its world tour in New Orleans, Louisiana on 6 April (16) and includes live shows at California’s Coachella Music & Arts Festival and New York’s Governors Ball Music Festival, before heading to Europe this summer (16).
