Disney has found a new swashbuckler for the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film, due out next summer. Stephen Graham of Snatch will play “Scram”, Jack Sparrow’s new sidekick. Graham joins cast members Salma Hayek, Jack’s new love interest, and Ian McShane as the villainous Blackbeard.
Sigourney Weaver has signed on for a role in John Singleton’s thriller Abduction. The film follows the story of a werewolf (Taylor Lautner) who discovers his own baby picture on a missing persons website. Weaver will play the psychiatrist of Lautner’s character.
Ashley Judd is replacing Liv Tyler in the indie comedy Flypaper. The film, also starring Patrick Dempsey and Tim Blake Nelson (of O Brother, Where Art Thou?), is about two groups of criminals robbing a bank at the same time. Dempsey plays a “secret enemy” who faces off with the crooks to rescue a bank teller whom he loves (probably Judd.)
