Michael Rapaport apologises for poking fun at Pete Davidson

Michael Rapaport has apologised for poking fun at Pete Davidson’s messages on social media.
The SNL star spoke out in support of Kanye West, after the rapper slammed Pete’s ex-fiancee Ariana Grande for joking about his recent re-ignited feud with Drake, who Kanye claimed had made fun of his mental health.
Actor and comedian Michael, 48, posted videos of his impressions of Pete and Kanye crying over Ariana and Drake, and launched into a tirade on Twitter.
“Pete Davidson & KANYE must really not have Homeboys for real,” he posted. “These are 2 whinny (sic) a** b***hing a** social media Babies.”
After Pete offered his support to Kanye, he later posted a worrying message on Instagram, and alluded to taking his own life.
“I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore. I’m doing my best to stay here for you but i actually don’t know how much longer i can last. All i’ve ever tried to do was help people. Just remember i told you so,” Pete wrote, before deleting his Instagram account.
After Michael’s fans and followers alerted him to the severity of the situation, the Deep Blue Sea star apologised immediately.
“Didn’t realize Pete Davidson posted an actual genuinely scary IG note,” he shared on Twitter. “Had no clue. Was not informed of all of those details. Would never mock someone when they’re truly down. Sincerely. I thought this was all the daily normal gossip of the day & was doing my daily take.”
He later reposted an article from the New York Times that confirmed Pete was safe and accounted for at the Saturday Night Live studios in New York City.
