Monica loves her trendsetting diamond teeth

Singer Monica loves flashing the diamonds in her teeth because she was one of the first celebrities to have gems added to her sparkling smile two decades ago.
The Boy is Mine singer admits friends and colleagues thought she was losing her mind when she debuted the stones in two of her bottom teeth, but now she feels like a trendsetter.
“I got them almost 20 years ago and now everybody notices them because it’s, like, the in thing now,” she tells Access Live. “When I first did it everybody at the record company was like, ‘Oh my gosh, she’s losing her mind!'”
Explaining the process, she says, “A dentist drilled holes and they’re platinum underneath and then he set the diamonds the following day, so these will leave with me. I will not go through that process again.”
“I don’t use a special anything (to keep them in place),” she added. “I just do a lot of flossing and brushing.”
