Nancy Wilson announces new band, Roadcase Royale

Heart star Nancy Wilson has formed a new group to keep her busy as her bandmate sister tours as a solo act.
Roadcase Royale features Heart veterans Chris Joyner, bassist Dan Rothchild, and drummer Ben Smith, and former Prince backing vocalist Liv Warfield.
Wilson has announced the news of her latest group in a press statement, revealing she loves the band name.
“When I came up with the name Roadcase Royale, it was an interesting symbol to me,” she writes. “The big heavy-duty road cases that our amps, drums, and guitars travel in are much like the musicians they accompany on the road – strong and regal looking, yet all scuffed up and dented, covered in funny stickers that tell the story of a crazy traveling circus.”
Roadcase Royale made their official debut during the Concert For America: Stand Up, Sing Out! event in New York on Friday afternoon (20Jan17).
