Randy Rogers Band axes gig following death of frontman’s daughter

The RANDY ROGERS BAND has cancelled an upcoming concert in Texas following the death of frontman RANDY ROGERS’ baby daughter.
The country star and his bandmate wife Chelsea Cai Dowlearn welcomed a girl on 3 June (15), but on Tuesday (09Jun15), the couple shared the sad news that little Rumer had died of natural causes at just six days old.
On Wednesday (10Jun15), the musicians announced they have decided to cancel their show in Roscoe, Texas on Friday (12Jun15), following the tragedy.
A statement on the band’s Facebook page reads: “In light of the recent news in the RRB camp, we will be canceling the show at the Lumberyard this Friday night. We are working on a make up date to come back as quickly as possible. Thanks in advance for all your understanding during this difficult time.”
The band is also slated to perform in Laredo, Texas on Saturday (13Jun15), but has yet to announce if it’ll still take the stage.
Rogers and Dowlearn are parents to two-year-old daughter River Rose, who was born just months after they eloped in Hawaii in 2013.
