Rosie O’Donnell and ex ordered to keep divorce battle private

Actress and TV personality ROSIE O’DONNELL and her estranged wife MICHELLE ROUNDS have been ordered to stop discussing their marriage split and custody battle in public as part of their divorce proceedings.
The A League of Their Own star’s break-up has turned nasty in recent weeks, after recruitment consultant Rounds moved for primary custody of their adopted daughter Dakota and allegedly expressed her concerns to the media about O’Donnell’s parenting skills amid allegations she abuses alcohol and marijuana.
Her lawyer filed papers seeking to have O’Donnell submit to regular drug tests to prove she is a capable parent, but the actress’ legal representative hit back with a counterclaim, claiming Rounds is the one at fault.
Their case was heard in New York’s Manhattan Supreme Court this week (begs04May15), when the judge shot down Rounds’ request for random drug testing and insisted there was no need, at present, to adjust the terms of their shared custody agreement.
However, the judge chastised both parties for airing out their divorce issues in public and demanded they stop talking to the press and using social media to express their complaints about co-parenting.
Rounds is planning to appeal the drug testing decision, according to TMZ.com.
O’Donnell, who also has four other children with ex-wife Kelli Carpenter, announced the pair’s split in February (15), after less than three years of marriage.
