Tom Cullen broke his big toes filming Knightfall

Actor Tom Cullen hobbled through filming on the new season of medieval drama Knightfall after breaking both of his big toes.
The former Downton Abbey star portrays Landry du Lauzon, a senior member of the Knights Templar Catholic military order, on the fictional series, but he really suffered for his art as filming got underway on season two.
“I broke them on the second day (of filming),” he shares. “The first episode, there’s this huge dream sequence, which opens episode one, and we had a big rain machine, and we’re in this forest and it just became this muddy mess.
“We were in the middle of a charge, there was a slip, and it happened there.”
The second season of Knightfall, which also features Star Wars icon Mark Hamill, premiered on America’s History channel last week (25Mar19).
