Yolanda Foster battling failing sight due to Lyme disease

Model-turned-reality TV star Yolanda Foster has been robbed of the ability to read and write after suffering a setback in her battle with chronic Lyme disease. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, whose husband is legendary music mogul David Foster, was diagnosed with the tick-borne illness in 2012 and previously revealed it had left her bed-ridden for eight months.
The Dutch model remained optimistic as she attempted to bounce back, but she was dealt a blow in early December (14) as the disease progressed.
She recently underwent treatment at a hospital in Singapore, but reveals she has been unable to update her online blog for BravoTV.com for some time as her brain function and sight have been heavily affected by the condition.
In a lengthy, candid post, she writes, “Although writing is usually my favorite thing to do, I unfortunately have lost the ability to do so in an intelligent matter at this time.”
She admits the disease has left her feeling like someone “confiscated my brain and tied my hands behind my back”, and continues, “I have lost the ability to read, write, or even watch TV, because I can’t process information or any stimulation for that matter.”
It is not yet clear if Foster, who is mother to models Bella and Gigi Hadid, will continue to appear on her U.S. reality show.
The 51 year old wed David Foster in 2011.
