Highlights

When he was eight, his family lived in Hong Kong for a few years.

His first television directorial effort was a 1985 ABC AfterSchool Special called One Too Many, which starred ex-wife Michelle Pfieffer.  
Big break came when he joined the cast of thirtysomething in 1989.

In 2005, co-produced and directed the pilot of the ABC hit medical drama Grey's Anatomy.
