Writer and psychologist Robert Epstein became one of the most visible scientists in the world when he took on the role of Editor-in-Chief of the popular magazine Psychology Today. Having completed his graduate work at Harvard, Epstein worked as a professor and researcher at the University of California San Diego, California School of Professional Psychology, Boston University, and other prestigious institutions, making strides in the study of creativity and cognition, eventually developing a formal, predictive theory of creative behavior called Generativity Theory. Always at ease with the media, Epstein later began hosting a radio program, in which he interviewed several celebrity guests, like Deepak Chopra, Jimmy Carter, and Jamie Lee Curtis. He also published several books over the years and developed numerous psychological tests used to gauge motivation, sexuality, and competency.
