Brooklyn born character actor Sidney Clute came to Hollywood in the 1950s after working in summer stock. Among the films he has appeared in are Crime and Punishment, Five Branded Women, and The Russians Are Coming. Later he went to regularly appear on television shows, most notably Cagney and Lacey, where he worked for four years.
