The son of screenwriter Dorothy Kingsley, Dennis Durney launched his entertainment industry career playing small roles in feature films such as Where the Boys Are (1960) and A Ticklish Affair (1963). He switched to producing low-budget Westerns such as Molly and Lawless John (1972). Durney once collaborated with his mother on the television version of Angels in the Outfield in 1991.
