Born in Cleveland but raised in Britain, American actor Trent Ford attended Cambridge as a young man, then fell into his career niche in the City of Angels. Sporting a killer visage that made many a female audience member swoon, Ford divided his time between onscreen work -- nearly always appearing in films as the slick heartthrob boyfriend -- and print modeling (for Abercrombie & Fitch and other brands). Ford's dramatic career commenced on a regal note when he signed to appear in director Robert Altman's 2001 drawing-room mystery Gosford Park opposite Maggie Smith, Helen Mirren, Michael Gambon, Clive Owen, and others. He scored a plum romantic lead opposite teen pop star Mandy Moore in the sweet-natured romantic comedy How to Deal (2003), then received a bit of humorous typecasting with a bit part in Michael Bay's 2005 actioner The Island (where Ford plays the Calvin Klein Model). Ford then joined the cast of two 2007 films that, taken together, suggest his willingness to tackle a host of genres with equal aplomb:Christopher Cain's revisionist Western September Dawn and Joby Harold's psychological thriller Awake.
