Charleston-born stage actress Frances Fuller made her Broadway bow in the original 1928 production of The Front Page. She then co-starred in such well-received productions as Later in Five Star Final, The Animal Kingdom, and Stage Door. Not overly fond of films, she starred onscreen only once, playing Gary Cooper's ever-faithful wife in One Sunday Afternoon (1933). In later years, she accepted character roles in such films as They Might Be Giants (1971) and Homebodies (1974). Frances Fuller was married to stage and TV producer Worthington Miner.
