Character and voice actor Bob Hastings is best known for his television work, but he has also appeared in a few films. He first appeared on TV in 1955 in productions for the U.S. Steel Hour and in the television movie No Time for Sergeants. Fans of McHale's Navy, a sitcom that ran through the 1960s, may remember Hastings for playing Colonel Binghampton's flunky, Lt. Elroy Carpenter, while those who love the daily soap General Hospital may remember Hastings for playing Bert Ramsey. Hastings made his first feature-film appearance in the Disney-produced Moon Pilot (1962). As a voice artist, Hastings can be heard portraying Commissioner Gordon on all of the Fox network's Batman animated adventure series.
