Actor John Heawood specialized in theatrical musical productions and spent most of his career on the British stage as an actor and a choreographer. He also occasionally appeared in films, such as Oliver! (1968) and The Slipper and the Rose (1976). Heawood chronically suffered from ill health and retired from show business in the early '80s.
