Supporting actor James Medina (he was also billed as Jimmy Medina) appeared in a few major films of the early '90s, including Awakenings (1990), The Class of 1999 (1990), and The Mambo Kings (1992). Before breaking into films, he gained experience on the Los Angeles stage. Later, Medina worked on television, guest starring on such shows as MacGyver.
