Film producer Harriet Parsons was the daughter of newspaper columnist and occasional screenwriter Louella Parsons. She began her motion-picture career in a film written by her mother, receiving poor critical notices as the child star of Essanay's The Magic Wand. Working primarily at RKO, the high points of her career as a producer included I Remember Mama (1948) and Clash by Night (1952).
