Character actor John Scanlan spent most of his 40-year career on stage, but he also appeared on television and in two feature films. During the 1950s and 1960s, he often performed on television, on such series as Philco Playhouse and The Adams Chronicles. Scanlan was also a regular on the daily serials Guiding Light and Loving.
