Although this statuesque actress began her career as a model, she had to hide her perfect figure under a fat suit for her small-screen break, a recurring role as the title character's zaftig girlfriend on The Drew Carey Show. Walsh trained as a stage actress in Chicago before trying her luck in Hollywood. Primarily a TV player, this blonde (who often dyes her hair red) landed roles on a string of short-lived series before joining the cast of the hit show Grey's Anatomy as a doctor trying to win back the husband she cheated on. Her deeply flawed but fascinating alter ego became so popular, she warranted her own soapy spin-off: Private Practice.
