After a run on the short-lived Malibu Shores, Spelling joined the cast of Beverly Hills 90210 for portions of its seventh and tenth seasons and appeared regularly on the daytime drama Sunset Beach. In 2007, he found yet another way to use his surname to further his career, joining the cast of the cable reality series Sons of Hollywood, which followed the lives of the adult children of some former big show-business names.
