Canadian actor John Colicos has often been mistaken for Jay Robinson (who played Caligula in The Robe). Such gaffes are understandable, since Colicos, Zerbe and Robinson have spent their professional lives essaying the same sort of smirking, posturing megalomaniacal villains. Colicos played the demented Mikos Cassadine, plotting to take over the world with his weather-controlling machine during an early-1980s story arc on the TV serial General Hospital? A nicer but no less abrasive John Colicos could be seen playing foredoomed restaurant owner Nick Papadakis in the 1982 remake of The Postman Always Rings Twice.
