British author Derek Marlowe is best remembered for his premiere novel A Dandy in the Aspic. The book was made into a film in 1968. Marlowe adapted his book Echoes of Celandine in the film The Disappearance (1977). He won an Emmy for penning the BBC miniseries The Search for the Nile.
