Amy Smart

A former model who had difficulty distinguishing herself from the legion of blonde starlets seeking Hollywood fame in the '90s, Smart made her biggest impression as a high-school brain involved with a quarterback in Varsity Blues. Her recurring role on Felicity as another spirited lady friend (who ended up pregnant) further exposed her to the teen set. But a series of poor projects (the middling miniseries The '70s, the inane comedy Road Trip) did little to prove that she could do much beyond look good. Although she remained the requisite pretty girlfriend in features that centered on male characters vying for her attention (The Butterfly Effect, Starsky & Hutch, Just Friends), she found meatier parts on the small screen, with a recurring romantic role on Scrubs and a criminal turn on Smith.
