After establishing himself as a valuable supporting player on television and in films, this soulful, red-haired actor shot to stardom as a homicide detective with a great rear end on NYPD Blue. Due to a salary dispute, David Caruso exited the hit drama acrimoniously after one season and set out to become a movie star. But a series of big-screen duds almost killed his career and made him the butt of a lot of jokes. He humbly returned to the small screen in 1997 on the short-lived Michael Hayes, but his second try at a comeback, CSI: Miami, was more successful. Married three times, notably to actress Rachel Ticotin, the sex symbol fathered a son with his girlfriend Liza Marquez just a month after his third divorce was finalized.
