A lawyer by training, Eisner joined entertainment industry mogul David Geffen at the inception of his company in 1980 and served as president until the company was bought by MCA in 1990. During his tenure he oversaw the production of such films as "Risky Business" (1983), "After Hours" (1985), "Beetlejuice" (1988) and "The Last Boy Scout" (1991) and such stage productions as "Cats" (1983) and "M. Butterfly" (1988). Eisner then joined company co-founders Chris Blackwell and John Heyman as a partner in the Island World Group and became CEO of Island World Inc., which produces five to eight feature films annually and produces for TV through European co-production.
