As the blond half of time-traveling team "Bill and Ted", Winter went on an "Excellent Adventure" (1989) and a "Bogus Journey" (1991) which capitalized on contemporary teen culture with highly profitable results. After appearing in stage musicals including the Broadway revival of "The King and I" and the Sandy Duncan revival of "Peter Pan", Winter made his film debut as a rapist in "Death Wish III" (1985), played an adolescent vampire in "The Lost Boys" (1987), co-starred in "Haunted Summer" (1988) and in 1991 wrote, directed, produced and starred in "The Idiot Box", a comedy series for MTV.
