British cinematographer Harry Waxman photographed numerous films. He got his start in the film industry as a darkroom assistant at age 14. By age 17, Waxman had become an assistant cameraman. During WWII, he served with the film production unit of the RAF, and in 1945 became a full-fledged director of photography.
