Composer and pop singer Harry Nilsson was best-known for such hits as "Everybody's Talkin'," "Without You," "Me and My Arrow," and "Coconut." Over his career, Nilsson wrote songs for a number of groups including the Monkees ("Cuddly Toys"), Three Dog Night ("One"), and other groups. In film, Nilsson composed the score for Skidoo (1968). His version of "Everybody's Talkin'" was used as the title track for Midnight Cowboy (1969). In 1971, Nilsson composed the score for the children's animated television film The Point, which provided the hit "Me and My Arrow." A longtime friend of the Beatles, particularly John Lennon, Nilsson starred as Count Down opposite Ringo Starr in the musical horror spoof Son of Dracula (1974). In 1980, he scored the film Popeye.
