Michelle Stafford

A perennial fan favorite for her campy work as villainess Phyllis on the daytime soap The Young and the Restless, this striking redhead started out as a model. In 1990 she made her acting debut in the short-lived teen sudser Tribes. The next few years were lean, but the starlet made it through by working odd jobs and appearing on the Los Angeles stage, including two plays directed by Charles Durning. In 1994 she got her big break when she signed on to Y&R. As the scheming, seriously disturbed Phyllis, she managed to destroy the seemingly idyllic marriage of innocent Cricket and rock-and-roller Danny, and wreak all kinds of havoc on everyone she came in contact with. Although she netted her first Daytime Emmy in 1997, she left daytime for prime time that same year as one of the beautiful people inhabitants of Pacific Palisades. But the show went bust and Stafford spent the next few years doing small-screen guest spots and small big-screen roles before returning to her Y&R stomping grounds. At night, Stafford indulges a different side of her personality as a hockey correspondent on Fox Sports Network's The Best Damn Sports Show, Period.
