Producer Andrew Vajna got his start as a film exhibitor and distributor in Asia through his Panaisa Film company. In 1976, he and Mario Kassar founded Carolco to produce such films as The Silent Partner (1978) and the Rambo series. In 1989, he left Carolco to found his own company, Cinergi.
