Rick Berman

Producer/executive producer Rick Berman was responsible for overseeing the various syndicated Star Trek spin-offs that have populated television channels the world over since 1987. He also oversaw the feature Star Trek: Generations (1994) and Star Trek: First Contact (1996). Berman began his fruitful association with Paramount, the studio behind the Star Trek oeuvre, in 1984 as the director of current programming. A year later, he became the executive director of dramatic programming and in 1996 became the vice president, longform and special projects, for Paramount Network Television. In that capacity, Berman supervised the creation and development of specials, TV movies, and miniseries.
