A Star Is Born, the 1954 musical drama that earned her a Best Actress Oscar nomination, was produced by her third husband, Sid Luft.
Her final performance took place a week before her death (from an accidental overdose of barbiturates in her London flat on June 22, 1969) at the Half Note in New York's Greenwich Village.
