Versatile French art director Bernard Evein was a key figure in creating the atmosphere in a number of French New Wave films and has worked with such directors as Jacques Demy, Godard, and Chabrol between the late '50s and the early '60s. Before launching his career, Evein studied at the I.D.E.C. and worked as an assistant decorator until 1958.
