Christopher Greenham was a distinguished sound editor who worked in film for over 30 years. He started out with Britain's Ealing Studios in the late 1940s and worked on such noted films as The Lavender Hill Mob (1951)....
Christopher Greenham was a distinguished sound editor who worked in film for over 30 years. He started out with Britain's Ealing Studios in the late 1940s and worked on such noted films as The Lavender Hill Mob (1951) and Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949). In 1961, he became the first Sound Editor to win an Academy Award for his work on The Guns of Navarone; he was nominated four times more for subsequent films including The Lion in Winter (1968) and Superman (1978). In 1977, Greenham was given a lifetime achievement award from the British Film Editors.
