Joining RKO in 1943, American screenwriter Dane Lussier worked on that studio's "Mexican Spitfire", "Falcon" and "Dick Tracy" entries. During a brief stopover at Republic, Lussier collaborated on the script for The Lady and the Monster, the first screen treatment of Curt Siodmak's Donovan's Brian. With the exception of the Paramount musical Let's Dance (1950), he spent his last active years at Universal. Dane Lussier's final credit was It Grows on Trees, which also served as the cinematic swan song of star Irene Dunne.
