A charismatic actor with striking eyes and handsome features, Robson Green achieved international stardom as a young doctor who embarks on an affair with an older woman (who also happens to be his boss' wife) in the British TV drama "Reckless" (1997). While still in school, the Northumberland native began to dabble in the two areas of the arts in which he would come to distinguish himself--acting and music. Green joined the Backworth Drama Centre around the same time he formed the first of two bands, Solid State. By the time he completed school and determined not to follow his father into working in the local mines, he went to work in a shipyard before deciding to pursue an acting career. Joining the Live Theatre in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Green honed his craft before landing his first small screen role in "A Night on the Tyne". He joined the cast of the medical drama "Casualty" in 1989 playing a hospital porter which brought him his first brush with fame. Green went on to headline the popular "Soldier Soldier" (1991-95). Teaming with castmate Jerome Flynn, he launched a successful musical career that encompassed three albums, a hit single and a concert. After displaying his charms as the physician romancing Francesca Annis in "Reckless", Green went on to co-star in a handful of distinguished productions that received airings on both side of the pond including the mystery series "Touching Evil" (1997-99), as a detective tracking tough cases, "The Student Prince/Prince of Hearts" (1998), playing a cop assigned to protect a naive royal, the inevitable "Reckless - The Sequel" (1999) and the comedy-drama "Grafters" (1999), playing the roguish half of a pair of Geordie brothers hired to renovate a town house in London. Green, who reportedly has spurned offers from Hollywood, signed a multi-million pound pact with ITV in 1999 to produce and star in a number of TV projects created under his banner, Coastal Productions.
