With an assured smile and an intense gaze, Puerto Rican-born actor Eddie Matos seemed like an ideal candidate for soap opera stardom, and indeed found notable success on the small screen. While prominent roles in such television dramas as Port Charles and General Hospital comprised much of Matos' early career, the actor gradually began to display his versatility with guest appearances in such popular shows as Tru Calling and Charmed. In 2007, Matos continued to hone his talent on the small screen by appearing opposite Hector Elizondo, Jimmy Smits, and Rita Moreno in the Latino family drama Cane. Unfortunately, the series failed to gain a sizable audience and was canceled after less than a full season.
