An exceptionally multifaceted performer, Butler divided her time and attentions equally between theater, music, television, feature films, and commercials for such brands as Jeep Liberty, Burger King and Conair. Early television work included guest appearances on series programs such as Shark and CSI: NY; Butler landed her first prominent feature role with a portrayal of Ruth Bell Graham, wife of evangelist Billy Graham, in the Robby Benson-directed biopic Billy: The Early Years (2008).
