Character actor Alyy Kahn (not to be confused with the Bollywood star Aly Khan, who appeared in pictures around the same time) specialized in Middle Eastern roles, often with an intimidating or threatening demeanor. He took his first major bow as the terrorist Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh in Michael Winterbottom's tense and gripping docudrama A Mighty Heart (2007).
