Hailing from Kingston, RI, Jesse Fielding entered filmdom at the age of 20, not as an actor but as a sailor. A contestant in the grueling Transpac sailing race between Honolulu and Los Angeles, he appeared prominently in the Walt Disney Pictures documentary covering that event, Morning Light (2007). The motion picture marked his only cinematic appearance up through that time.
