Former top fashion model for Parisian haute couture houses who came to Hollywood in the late 1950s, studied acting and made her Hollywood screen debut as a Russian princess in "Song Without End" (1960). Capucine's patrician beauty leant an aloof elegance to such Hollywood films as "A Walk on the Wild Side" (1962), "The Pink Panther" (1964), in which she played Inspector Clouseau's treacherous wife, and "What's New Pussycat?"
