He played his first major film role in the mildly received identity-switch comedy, "Like Father, Like Son" (1987) opposite Dudley Moore, and followed up with "Listen to Me" (1989) and "The Willies" (1990). In 1995, he returned to series television headlining his own sitcom, "Kirk", on the fledgling network The WB. In 1991, he married model-turned-actress Chelsea Noble.
