Born on July 23, 1974 in Kansas City, KS, former sprinter Maurice Greene earned several medals in the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games en route to being dubbed the “World’s Fastest Man.” After excelling in both track & field and football at F.L. Schlagle High School, Greene won two gold medals in the 100m sprint and the 4x100m relay at the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics, which he followed with silver and bronze at the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics. A former world record holder in the 100m dash with 9.79s, he maintained his 6.39s indoor world record for the 60m sprint in 1999 – a record that stood for over a decade. Making his acting debut, Greene appeared in an episode of “Moesha” (UPN, 1995-2001), then appeared in two episodes of “Arli$$” (HBO, 1996-2003). In 2008, Greene was announced as a season seven contestant on the always popular “Dancing With the Stars” (ABC, 2004- ).
