A towering, big-boned woman with a deadpan, self-deprecating delivery, Plakson racked up extensive theater credits before working steadily in episodic TV, initially starring in a pilot for a series based on "Married To The Mob" (1989), playing the Michelle Pfeiffer role. As Meg, an acerbic sportswriter on "Love & War", Plakson played the longtime platonic gal pal of opinionated sportswriter Jack Stein. Plakson has also appeared in the features "Bingo" (1991) and "Disclosure" (1994).
